Libraries are more than just books – they’re places for connection, learning and growth.

From February to March 2025, we asked the community to help us shape a sustainable and innovative future for Maitland’s libraries that meets the evolving needs of our growing community.

Through an online survey, interactive activities and pop-up sessions, we heard what’s working, what could be improved and what the community imagines our libraries could become. Thank you to everyone who contributed!

Community feedback is now being used to inform the development of the draft Maitland Libraries Framework 2025–30, which will shape the direction of our programs and services over the next four years and beyond.
