Maitland’s Seniors Festival for 2026 was held from Monday 2 March to Sunday 15 March, celebrating the contributions of older people in our community. This year’s theme, ‘Live life in colour’, encouraged seniors to come together, try new experiences and enjoy a vibrant and diverse program of activities.

The festival provided a valuable opportunity for local organisations, community groups and service providers to connect with seniors, showcase their services and support ongoing wellbeing and social connection within the community.

The program featured a wide range of free and low-cost events, including:

• Health, fitness and wellbeing activities
• Art and craft experiences
• Digital and technology workshops
• Social and community activities
• Outdoor and nature activities
